As promised, ultrasounds from our first OB visit on February 3, approximately week 11. These static pictures fail to convey the activity of the fetus during the ultrasound. It danced, it twirled, it swam an exuberant backstroke while we watched on in stupefied awe. For me, the ultrasound crystallized the reality of this pregnancy. Whereas before it felt like an inconvenient collection of flu-like symptoms, afterward I felt like a major contributor in the process of forming a new little individual.
Below is a view from above (or whatever the womb-y orientation is), where you can see baby's head and the still-forming ear auricles, hands with fingers, and toes. Annotated using my wicked Photoshop skills.

Here's a side view. The blue arrow points to the umbilical cord. The green marks were used to measure the baby's crown-to-trunk length and estimate the date of birth.

The text above shows the baby's heart rate at a marvelously healthy 158 bpm, the crown-trunk length at 3.52 cm, and an ETA of August 29th. Trying to visualize the overall size of the baby we decided it was roughly the equivalent of a peanut shell, so we referred to it as "Peanut" for the rest of the month.
PS--Uber-geeky title to this post provided by Mr. Jeremy Noring.
Congratulations!
